Top-tier Gen4 NVMe SSD for gaming and productivity
WD_BLACK SN850X is a high-performance PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD designed to push gaming load times and content creation workflows to the limit. It delivers sustained high bandwidth with rated speeds around 7,300 MB/s read and 6,600 MB/s write for the common capacities, while also offering excellent 4K/8K workloads and a mature software suite (WD BLACK Dashboard) that enables Game Mode 2.0 and drive health monitoring. The SN850X line includes variants with an integrated heatsink, making it PS5-ready in PS5 configurations, though non-heatsink versions target compact builds where cooling is managed separately. Availability is global through major retailers, with consistent five-year warranty coverage and a broad ecosystem of compatibility across Windows, macOS, and Linux platforms.
