Sony BRAVIA Theater Bar 9
#6 in Soundbars · Rated 4.5
Flagship 13-speaker Sony BRAVIA Theatre Bar 9
Sony’s BRAVIA Theater Bar 9 is a flagship 13-speaker soundbar designed to deliver cinema-like immersion in a compact footprint. It supports Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, plus Sony’s 360 Spatial Sound Mapping to simulate a multi-speaker array around and above the listener. The Bar 9 can be expanded with optional wireless rear speakers and subwoofers and includes multiple HDMI inputs with eARC. Sony emphasizes Bravia Sync integration with compatible BRAVIA TVs for centralized control. Reviews note a strong overall presentation, with a wide, tall soundstage and highly articulate dialogue, though some critics feel the system’s bass presence can be lean without the extra subwoofer in certain rooms. It’s a compelling choice for Sony ecosystem users who want top-tier ambience without a full AV receiver setup.
