Open, platform-agnostic podcast app with open RSS ethos
Pocket Casts remains a popular, cross‑platform podcast app known for its clean design and robust controls. In 2025, Pocket Casts moved toward broader openness by offering a web player free to all users, while keeping Plus/Patron subscriptions for enhanced features such as transcripts, cloud storage, and advanced customization.
