Corel PaintShop Pro
#8 in Photo Editing Software · Rated 3.9
Affordable, capable editor with RAW and AI tools
Corel PaintShop Pro remains a durable choice for Windows users seeking a one-time purchase photo editor with strong RAW processing, smart adjustments, and a broad set of effects. The product has lived on through major releases and occasional promotional pricing, offering a familiar workspace with guided learning features. In 2025, PaintShop Pro is positioned as a value editor that covers everyday retouching, color correction, and creative design tasks without forcing ongoing subscription costs. While it may lack some of the advanced, industry-leading capabilities found in high-end competitors, it represents a cost-effective solution for hobbyists, small studios, and users who prefer a perpetual license over a recurring fee. Compatibility with popular file formats and integration with other Corel tools remains a key advantage.
