Grado SR60x
#8 in On-Ear Headphones · Rated 4.5
Open-back on-ear with classic Grado clarity and musicality
Grado SR60x are the latest in Grado’s long-running open-back on-ear line, built in Brooklyn with Grado’s X-Series drivers and a refined housing. The SR60x emphasizes upper-mid and high-frequency clarity, delivering a fast, musical presentation that emphasizes texture and micro-dynamics. They’re hand-built in Brooklyn and benefit from Grado’s longstanding reputation among audiophiles for natural, engaging sound. The SR60x pair well with DACs or standalone players to unlock their best detail, though their open-back design makes them less suitable for loud commutes or shared spaces due to sound leakage. They remain a strong choice for home listening and critical appreciation of a wide variety of genres, especially when paired with quality amplification. Expect a premium listening experience at a relatively accessible price point for true on-ear, open-back headphones.
