DS1525+ is a 5-bay DiskStation Plus model designed for small/medium businesses and professional users. It ships with dual 2.5 GbE ports, two M.2 NVMe slots for caching, and supports expansion up to two DX525 units for a total of 15 drives (up to 300 TB raw storage). It delivers solid sequential throughput and can leverage 10 GbE networking with an optional module. Running DSM, it provides a private cloud, centralized backups, and robust surveillance integration. The product—launched in 2025—aims at users who need scalable storage with enterprise-like features in a compact form factor. Availability began June 25, 2025.
