NETGEAR Orbi 870 Series (RBE873) 3‑Pack
#3 in Mesh WiFi Systems · Rated 4.6
Premium Wi‑Fi 7 tri‑band system for very large homes
Orbi 870 is Netgear’s flagship Wi‑Fi 7 mesh trio designed for very large homes and power users. The 870 series emphasizes multi‑link operation (MLO) and a multi‑gig wired backbone that includes a 10 Gbps WAN port on the gateway and multiple 2.5 Gbps LAN ports on satellites. With tri‑band 6 GHz, 5 GHz, and 2.4 GHz, it delivers extremely high aggregate throughput and superior stability when many devices are online. The 3‑pack kit covers substantial areas (up to around 9,000 sq ft) with robust wireless backhaul, and Netgear Armor security is available as an optional subscription. While pricey, the 870 stands out for households demanding peak Wi‑Fi 7 performance and the broadest port options among consumer mesh systems.
