High‑performance Wi‑Fi 6 tri‑band mesh for mid‑to‑large homes
ASUS ZenWiFi AX XT8 is a premium tri‑band Wi‑Fi 6 mesh system designed to blanket medium and large homes with reliable coverage. Each node provides multiple Ethernet ports and AiMesh compatibility, enabling flexible expansion with other ASUS routers. The XT8 emphasizes strong wireless performance on both 2.4 and 5 GHz bands and excels in homes with many devices thanks to efficient beamforming and robust roaming. It ships without mandatory monthly security fees, offering lifetime security and parental controls via AiProtection. While setup is straightforward for tech‑savvy users, some first‑time users report a steeper learning curve due to advanced features and the need to manage multiple SSIDs for optimal roaming. Its design is purposefully bulky but purposeful, and it remains a top pick for enthusiasts who want solid Wi‑Fi 6 performance without ongoing subscription costs. ASUS quietly ships global support and has broad language coverage through the ASUS mobile app and web interfaces, making XT8 a globally accessible option for households seeking consistent mesh coverage and strong value in a Wi‑Fi 6 package.
