Compact 50W modeling amp with Tube Logic and broad tone options
The BOSS Katana Gen 3 50W Combo is the latest update to the iconic Katana line, delivering a versatile, stage-ready sound in a portable 1x12" package. Gen 3 refines the Tube Logic platform with richer amp voicings, a new Pushed character for edge-of-breakup tones, and Bloom voicing to alter feel and dynamics. The amp includes five onboard effect blocks (Booster, Mod, FX, Delay, Reverb) with multiple variations, plus a redesigned Tone Studio app for remote editing. It remains ideal for practice, rehearsal, and small gigs, offering authentic tube-like feel without the weight and maintenance of real tubes. Targeted at players who want big tonal range, reliable build, and quick, dial-in tones for genres from blues to modern rock, the Katana 50 Gen 3 stands out for its balance of affordability, versatility, and brand support. In 2025, Katana Gen 3 remains one of the most widely recommended “do-it-all” amps for bedroom players and on-the-ground gigging musicians alike.
