Valve's handheld PC that docks to a TV for big-screen PC gaming
Steam Deck is Valve's handheld PC released in 2022 and subsequently expanded with the OLED-equipped variant. It runs SteamOS and provides access to the Steam library, Cloud Save, and Proton compatibility for many Windows titles. The OLED model (512GB and 1TB options) expands color and performance with a high-refresh 7.4-inch display. In 2025 Valve discontinued the affordable 256GB LCD variant, shifting the entry point to the higher-priced OLED models. This device remains popular for players seeking a portable PC gaming experience that can be docked to a TV for larger-screen play. Headquarters are in Bellevue, Washington.
