OpenCart
#7 in Shopping Cart · Rated 4.1
Open‑source shopping cart with broad extensions.
OpenCart is an open‑source shopping cart platform that you host yourself. It supports multiple languages and currencies, a large extension marketplace, and a modular approach that lets developers tailor catalogs, payments, and shipping. OpenCart is favored by developers who want control, flexibility, and the ability to build highly customized stores. It does require self‑hosting, and while the core software is free, costs accrue from hosting, development, and third‑party modules. Its global footprint is sizable, with a long history and a broad ecosystem of agencies and developers worldwide.
