MALM chest of 6 drawers (IKEA)
#1 in Dressers & Chests · Rated 4.2
Compact, versatile six-drawer chest with classic IKEA styling.
The MALM 6-drawer chest from IKEA is a globally familiar, budget-friendly storage option designed for compact bedrooms and growing closets. It combines clean, understated lines with a practical six-drawer layout that maximizes vertical storage in a relatively modest footprint. The chest is designed with smooth-running drawers and a wood-veneer surface that can be coordinated with other MALM pieces to form a cohesive system. Its slim depth makes it well-suited for smaller bedrooms or rooms that require flexible furniture layouts, and it pairs easily with contemporary or traditional decor. IKEA provides the wall-anchoring hardware needed for stability, an important consideration for homes with children or high-activity spaces. Availability is strong worldwide through IKEA’s extensive retail network, and the price point is accessible for first-time furniture buyers or budget-conscious renovators. As with many IKEA products, the MALM line emphasizes modularity: you can mix with other MALM components to create a broader storage solution without sacrificing style. This makes MALM a reliable, scalable entry point for those updating shared bedrooms or guest rooms.
