AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D
#17 in Desktop CPU · Rated 4.3
Gaming-optimized 8-core Zen 4 with 3D V-Cache
The Ryzen 7 7800X3D targets gamers and power users who want strong frame rates with an 8-core Zen 4 design complemented by AMD’s 3D V-Cache. While it offers fewer cores than top-end models, the sizeable L3 cache significantly enhances gaming performance in cache-sensitive titles, and the CPU still handles productivity tasks well. It uses the AM5 platform with PCIe 5.0 and DDR5, providing a modern foundation for future upgrades. The 7800X3D excels in gaming-centric builds and mid-range professional work where per-core performance and fast memory access matter. Its power profile is friendlier than some higher-core CPUs, and availability remains robust across major regions.
