Crowd-powered navigation with real-time road alerts for drivers
Waze is a driver-focused, crowdsourced navigation app known for real-time traffic, ETA updates, and community-reported hazards. Owned by Google, it emphasizes social mapping—drivers share incidents, police locations, and road conditions to optimize routes on the fly. It supports in-car dashboards via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, making it a strong choice for daily commutes and road trips where live conditions matter. While its social layer delivers highly responsive routing, some users find the interface busy, and privacy considerations around location data are often discussed in the community.
