Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3x
#1 in Budget Laptops · Rated 4.4
Budget Windows laptop with long battery life and solid keyboard
The Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3x is a sub-$1,000 Windows laptop that prioritizes battery life and everyday usability. It pairs a 15.3-inch IPS touchscreen with a Snapdragon X-powered Copilot+ platform, delivering impressive all-day endurance and smooth day-to-day tasks like web browsing, documents, and media consumption. RAM is generous on the 3x (16GB in many configurations) and storage commonly starts at 256GB, offering comfortable multitasking without frequent stalling. Lenovo emphasizes a comfortable keyboard, a large screen, and a slim chassis for on-the-go use, making it appealing for students and light-pro users who value battery life over chasing the latest GPU horsepower. The main trade-offs are a less traditional Windows experience on ARM (vs. x86), potential compatibility quirks with desktop-heavy apps, and a display that, while large, isn’t the brightest or most color-accurate in its class. Overall, Slim 3x stands out as a compelling value in the budget segment, especially for buyers who want a long-lasting portable Windows device with AI-minded features baked in.
